Mission
The New Sudan Education Initiative (NESEI) is a partnership between Southern Sudanese and a global network of friends, who are uniting the Diaspora to bring the gift of education home to Sudan to ensure a lasting peace.

NESEI’s 20 Schools Project
The New Sudan Education Initiative plans to build 20 secondary schools that will encompass community health centers, transition primary schools for girls, community counseling focused on the issue of girls education, extensive income generating projects for self-sustainability, and innovative curriculum development including gender studies, peace studies, and vocational training.

20 “New Model” Secondary Schools:
20 secondary schools serving up to 20,000 students by 2015.
Boarding facilities for up to ½ of school population
House parents program for all boarders
Clean water access and sanitation.
Feeding program

Health Care/Clinic
Community extension program
HIV/AIDS curriculum program
General health education for school and extension program to local communities

Girl’s Education
Transition primary schools for girls – up to 200 girls per school in grades 5-8 depending on gender equity in the senior 1-6.
Girl’s education community counseling programs
